The Arsenal - LQDesign Studio was commissioned to repurpose The Arsenal in New Castle, Delaware, to a tavern and banquet hall. The Arsenal was built in the early 1800's to house arms and military equipment. At the time design commenced, the historic structure stood empty awaiting rehabilitation. The proposed design included a tavern, public dining room, grand hall, and two large banquet rooms. The kitchen and back-of-house spaces would also be upgraded. Although the leaser of the building decided not to move forward with the construction of the project it was an invigorating design experience.
